The Pacific Coast® down blanket is a wonderful alternative for spring and summer months or for sleepers who need less warmth. It features a 7-inch sewn through box construction, filled with 550 fill power Hyperclean® down and covered in a 230 thread count, 100% cotton, specially woven to prevent down from escaping. Pacific Coast’s unique cleaning method washes and rinses the down and feathers up to eight times, removing the dust, dirt and allergens that cause allergic reactions. This blanket has a beautiful satin trim and is oversized so it can be tucked. Available in White, Cream, Clover and Ice Blue. Made in the USA of imported materials. - Use a Duvet Cover: If used with a duvet cover, your down blanket will only need to be cleaned every three to five years. Also, with a duvet cover, you won't need a top sheet, blanket, or bedspread. Making your bed will be a flip and a fluff!
- Professionally launder your down blankets every three to five years: Down actually washes well, but the size of these down blankets makes it more sensible to leave the cleaning to a professional
- Fluff your down blankets when you make your bed: By providing a steady flow of air your down will continue to loft
- Store your down blankets in a breathable bag: Avoid storing blankets in plastic bags, which may trap in moisture and cause the fill to mildew or disintegrate
- Redistribute your down blankets as needed: To redistribute the fill of your down blanket, lay your down blanket on a flat surface and simply push the down in place with the heel of your hand and forearm. The manufacturer uses a Whiffle Ball bat in their plants!
The harsh chemicals traditionally used to clean down and feathers have been replaced by a highly effective but gentle cleaner that leaves the down and feather at a neutral pH. In addition, dust and dirt has been filtered out of the hypercleaned down and feathers up to 15 times during its processing. This process results in down and feathers that are four times cleaner than the down and feathers found in other natural products. This down not only meets the government standards, but surpasses them!
