We continue to trust Sebo to provide powerful, quality German-made vacuum cleaners that are excellent cleaning machines, designed to last. The full size C2.1 canister vacuum cleaner uses large dust bags, has an onboard compartment for accessory tools, 4 casters for smooth maneuverability, a very large cleaning radius and is remarkably quiet. It is an excellent choice for homes with a mix of bare floors and low to medium cut pile carpet or area rugs.
Pluses:
Even though the C2.1 canister is larger in size, it still is very easy to maneuver with 4 casters that spin 360 degrees and an ergonomic operating handle that swivels.
This vacuum uses large 1.4 gallon filter bags which means less time spent changing bags.
The C2.1 offer a large cleaning radius of 36 ft. and its auto cord rewind system keeps the power cord neatly stored inside the vacuum when not in use. Just step on or use your hand to push the large cord rewind button on the canister.
The powerful 1250 watt motor gives excellent suction power to suck up dirt from in between the floor boards and lift hair and lint off the carpet.
Variable suction control allows you to reduce suction enough to clean delicate rugs and curtains without sucking them into the vacuum.
All-around cloth bumper guards are the best of any canister vacuum and thoroughly protect your paintwork, corners and furniture from scratches, scuffs and chips.
The C2's air belt design exhausts air around the entire vacuum through the air belt rather than just one section which helps reduce noise, and provide quiet operation.
The C2 has three onboard full-size accessory tools that are neatly stored under the hood in an integrated compartment. The crevice tool for this vacuum is a full 8 inches which is double the length of the average onboard crevice tool.
The turbo brush and bare floor brush are easy to put on and take off thanks to their quick-release buttons and snap into place design.
Sebo's S-class filtration and sealed design keeps dust and dirt particles inside the vacuum, maintaining clean and fresh indoor air.

Minuses:
Because the C2.1 has a non-electric hose and wand, its variable suction adjustment control switch is located on the canister, not the handle as on the C3.1. The suction adjustment control switch is also smaller than and not as easy to use as the large adjustment knob found on the K2 canister vacuums.
The air driven turbo brush is not ideal for medium to high pile carpets as it does not have the power and aggressive brush roll agitation of a power brush which is powered by a separate motor. The turbo brush is best suited for low to medium cut pile carpets or area rugs.
Though this vacuum is easy to assemble and floor tools & accessories are easy to put on and off, overall tool changes, assembly & disassembly are not quite as simple and smooth as a Miele vacuum.
The C2.1 is not space friendly in small closets due to its larger size and it only has one parking spot at the end of the canister so you can't park the turbo head when the canister is upright. Most vacuums offer 2 point wand parking, which is our preference for a canister.
Summary:
We were impressed by the Sebo air belt C2.1 vacuum cleaner for its outstanding cleaning power, first-class filtering systems, easy snap on tools, and of course, ease of use. Though we criticize the larger size of this canister for being harder to store and carry up stairs, it has a few perks over a compact size canister. These perks include larger vacuum bags, larger operating radius, 4 swivel casters, large power and cord rewind controls that you can use your foot or hand to operate, and last but not least, integrated tool storage compartment for the 3 full size accessory tools.
We absolutely love the quality of Sebo's accessory tools and that they are safely stored out of the way in the onboard compartment. The crevice tool is 8" long and has a wide opening at the bottom so it can get into deep hard to reach places and suck up more without clogging. The upholstery tool has a row of stiff bristles to help loosen dirt and grab up pet hair or lint from furniture. The dusting brush has a triangle design to maintain good suction flow and prevent clogging.
Packaged with a turbo brush and parquet floor tool, the C2.1 is best fit for homes with bare floors and low to medium cut pile area rugs. Though the turbo brush has brush roll agitation and good suction power, it is no match for thick carpets that need the power of a power brush to deep clean and restore their pile. When used in the correct home setting this vacuum will perform beyond your expectations and give years of reliable service. Its S-class filtration system and sealed system construction ensures excellent air quality as you vacuum keeping your home fresh and clean.
