- The frequency of cleaning will depend on the environment

- Recommended corona needle cleaning interval is every two months
About the Particle Collector:
The particle collector has a strong positive charge that effectively attracts the particles in the air, so it will be dirty on the outside. At first you may experience it as a change in color as the particles are extremely small and fixed evenly over the surface of the collector. After a while however, it will become visible. When it becomes visible will depend on how polluted the environment is where the air purifier is placed. We recommend that you place the IonFlow Evolution model at least 3 feet away from all walls and furniture.

Minuses:

- LifeAir air purifiers do not utilize a fan, and thus, natural air circulation is required for enhanced effectiveness
Summary:
The LifeAir Signature air purifier utilizes a technology that charges and collects airborne particles on collection plates. We've seen this type of air purifier technology before and it was very popular with the exception of one problem—ozone generation. Older air purifiers using negative ions and collection plates, would by way of process, split oxygen molecules creating high levels of ozone, a natural lung irritant. Clearly, this was not good for the user, so filter-free air purifiers became very unpopular despite their low cost of ownership and easy collection plate cleaning. The new generation of air purifiers by LifeAir is the result of many years of research and development to take advantage of the benefits that customers enjoyed about those older-style air purifiers. But most importantly, LifeAir wanted to make sure that there would not be any dangerous byproducts emitted back into the air you are trying to clean. LifeAir's patented process creates zero ozone, and the result is a unique, cleanable particle collecting air purifier that you simply wash clean at regular intervals. This pateneted air purification process has been certified by CARB, the California Air Resource Board, which is an entity that is best known for ensuring consumer products that are distributed in California, and ultimately the entire USA, are safe for consumers and the environment. We believe you will enjoy these unique-looking air purifiers that provide a truly revolutionary particle removal process while having the added benefit of a low cost of ownership. Ultimately, LifeAir offers an air purifier that is efficient, affordable and requires easy maintenance.Technical Specifications of LifeAir IonFlow Signature Air Purifier
