The Blueair 400 series will quietly and effectively clean the air in a medium to large size room. They are available with your choice of HEPASilent particle filters or Odor Smokestop filters to reduce chemicals and odor in addition to the particulates. The Digital 450E model features electronic controls including an automatic setting that operates based on the measurement of air quality, plus a filter change indicator, timer option, and remote control.
Pluses:

Summary:
The Blueair 400 series are an excellent choice for those looking to clean a room or office up to 900 square feet. We like that one can purchase the Odor Smokestop models for chemicals and odors and choose the 450E electronic models for automatic control and filter life monitoring. We would encourage the purchase of the Odor Smokestop filters for all around filtration to provide the optimum clean indoor environment. The HEPASilent particle filters are good for particle filtration, but do not have any carbon so they will not remove any odors or chemicals from the air. For those who like added conveniences, the 450E Digital models have all the little extras and are easy to operate with a remote control. We would like to see Blueair add a pre-filter to their air purifiers to lengthen the life of the main filter and reduce the frequency of replacements.
