Winix dehumidifiers are energy star rated making them cost effective to run and are equipped with eco-friendly R410a refrigerant.

Why We Like Winix Dehumidifiers:
The new Winix dehumidifiers comes with many of the enhancements one would hope for in a capable portable dehumidifier such as a built-in pump with an included 18 foot hose, eco friendly refrigerant , energy star rating, auto-restart and a hardy and handsome design. It also has Microban® technology for the prevention of bacteria on the collection bucket. And best of all, the Winix provides all of this at an exceptionally reasonable price. However, it does have a couple drawbacks; firstly it is not the most quiet dehumidifier in our line up, which may not matter to you if you are using it in any unfinished basement. Secondly, the bucket is located in the rear of the dehumidifier, so if you had to use it in a confined space this would not be the dehumidifier of choice. Lastly, it does not display the actual humidity level in the room so you would need to purchase an auxiliary hygrometer to check on actual humidity levels achieved. However, we think Winix dehumidifiers are one of the best reasonably priced residential dehumidifiers around and are well worth your consideration.
