Pluses:
The lamp's design is stylish and perfect for use at a desk since it is not bulky and the lamp head can be adjusted to direct the light right where you need it.
The natural spectrum daylight is great for improving clarity, increasing contras between black and white and depicting true colors.
It provides the perfect amount of supplemental lighting that is crisp and clear, yet does not cause annoying reflections or glares.
No replacement bulbs needed! LED light bulbs are energy efficient and should last as long as the lamp does.
The slide switch control is easier to use than a switch you have to turn. It is easier for those with arthritis and can still be turned on/off if you just put lotion on your hands.
The lamp is well-made with a weighted base that creates leverage and makes it sturdy.
Minuses:
Though a 1 year warranty is pretty standard for this type of product, we know it will last much longer and feel it should have a longer warranty.
Though it produces natural spectrum daylight, this lamp does not help improve symptoms of SAD, which would have been a nice valued added feature.
Summary:
I was very impressed with this desk lamp from the moment I turned it on. It delivered the perfect amount of extra "white" light to my work area. I now cannot go a day without turning it on because my work area seems so dark and dull without it. The lamp also has an attractive design that is sturdy and well-made. It provides a nice bright white light that is easy on the eyes and not distracting. It does not glare or reflect off the computer screen either. The lamp head is easily adjusted to direct the light right where you want it. The slide control is much easier to use than a switch you have to turn. The natural spectrum daylight adds a level of clarity that really makes a difference while reading or doing task work. I would happily recommend this lamp to anyone who wants to brighten up their work area, or wants a supplemental task light for reading, writing or arts & crafts. It would also make a great practical gift for a student! Another huge plus is the long lasting LED bulbs will last for the lifetime of the lamp.
