How it Works:
CleanWave® Sanitizing Technology - When bacteria, viruses, mold, dust mites, and other microorganisms are exposed to the CleanWave UV-C light, the DNA in each cell is disrupted, damaging the nucleic acid. This prevents the microorganism from replicating.
Product Usage:
Effective exposure times to UVC light varies, but a rule of thumb is to allow the light to remain on a surface for 10 seconds to destroy most organisms.
Since the UVC light disrupts DNA in cells, it should never be used on pets, plants or food products. It should also never be allowed to shine on human exposed skin or directly into your eyes. This product is equipped with a protective system to turn the UVC light off when the device is turned upward towards the eyes.

Summary:
After reviewing and testing a number of similar products, we decided that the Handheld Bed and Furniture Vacuum Cleaner from Verilux was our favorite and the one we wanted to offer to our customers. We thought this particular vacuum had the best suction power and we especially liked the detachable handheld vacuum. And, since it is AC powered it is always ready for use and will not run out of power in the middle of cleaning. Secondly, we trust Verilux as a quality manufacturer who has perfected the use of UVC sanitization technology in their products.
We do have a few cautions to mention: 1) it is loud and 2) it is not a sealed HEPA system so allergy sufferers would want to make sure they clean the filter and dust bin before and after each use to reduce risk of re-releasing particles into the air.
Overall we feel this product would be ideal for picking up crumbs and little messes around the home and for sanitizing bedding, furniture, upholstery and pet areas. It is also a useful tool for reducing your risk of dust mite, bed bug and flea infestation.
