Summary:
This sinus mask has been very helpful to me during the change of season when my sinuses tend to get blocked. As soon as I start to feel pressure building up, I pop this mask into the microwave for 60 seconds and then lay back and relax for 10-15 minutes as the heat goes to work. I use this moist heat mask in addition to nasal irrigation and I truly believe it has helped prevent me from having painfully blocked sinuses like I have had frequently in the past. Not only does the heat help soothe my sinuses but it also feels nice on my face. (The moist heat works to open up your pores kind of like a mini steam facial but without the steam.) The biggest down fall to the mask is that it provides a good source of moist heat for about 15 minutes and then you are supposed to wait 2 hours before re-using. This is so the TheraBeads can regain their moisture. I have found the masks still works if you use it multiple times in a row, it just provides less moisture in the heat. The mask itself is also not washable and must be spot cleaned if dirty. The mask comes with a protective cover which is machine washable but I tend to not use it as it is a weird material. I prefer to use a thin towel or pillowcase on my face or just use the mask without a cover, which feel fine. One more thing, this mask is versatile and can be used on other parts of you body to soothe sore muscles, so at under $20 it’s a great value!
