Pluses:

You really can not beat the value of this comforter at such a great low price.
Siliconised hollow fiber polyester fill is silky and soft, offering a cozy feel and just the right amount of warmth without feeling heavy or too hot.
The synthetic fill used in this comforter is designed to resist clumping so it will stay evenly distributed and prevent cold spots.
100% cotton cover allows the comforter to breathe easily and help prevent you from becoming too hot and sweaty.
The synthetic fill is hypoallergenic and free from common allergens associated with down feathers or wool batting.
14-inch baffle box construction gives the fill plenty of room to loft and prevents the fill from shifting to one end or corner of the comforter.
This comforter was designed for use in down-free hotel rooms. Any product designed for hotel use has to be comfortable and durable, and be able to retain its comfort use after use, wash after wash.
Machine wash and dry for easy and affordable care. It does require use of a large commercial-size machine so you may have to go to the laundry mat, but that is still easier and more affordable then professional cleaning.
Its lightweight warmth will work for all season use in a variety of climates. If you keep your house between 65-75 degrees you should be comfortable with year-round use of this comforter.
This comforter offers a warm and cozy feel without being too warm or too bulky.

Minuses:

This comforter is not dust mite resistant. We highly recommend using a dust mite comforter cover to prevent your new comforter from harboring dust mites and other allergens which can cause you to wake up stuffy or with other allergy symptoms.
Down alternative synthetic filled comforters do not last as long as actual down comforters which can last a lifetime. This comforter has an estimate lifespan of 5+ years.
Polyester fiber fill does not have the same "warmth-to-weight" ratio as down or wool. This comforter is not as warm as a down or wool comforter of the same fill weight.
The polyester fiber fill has been treated to offer anti-microbial protection. We would not recommend it for someone who suffer from Multiple Chemical Sensitivities or for someone who is irritated by synthetic fibers and materials.

Summary:

This comforter got its first test on a cold November night in Vermont, and I must say I could not have been more pleased! It lofted nicely across the bed and was very cozy to snuggle into. I was amazed at how quickly it retained warmth and it reminded me a lot of a lightweight down comforter. It added a nice weight to my bedding, not too heavy and not too light. Overall, I had a great night's sleep with this comforter and would highly recommend it for someone who wants a good quality down alternative comforter. This comforter would be ideal for use in a temperature controlled home that stays between 65 -75 degrees. It is machine washable which makes it very easy to care for, however I would highly recommend using a duvet cover to protect it from dirt and stains. For allergy and asthma suffers I highly recommend using a dust mite cover with this comforter because its polyester fiber fill is not resistant to dust mites. As with all synthetic made-man filling, it will last longer and stay loftier with less washing. I would recommend washing once a season and you should get over 5 years of cozy warmth out of it. At such an affordable price this comforter is one of the best deals around.
