We were excited to bring home the eye-catching Reliable GO E20 and put it to test on a variety of light cleaning jobs around the house. This is a wonderful multi-purpose steam cleaner that effortlessly performed a variety of cleaning tasks from shining up hardwood floors to removing scum build-up in the bathroom. We were impressed with how durable and sturdy the unit and attachments were when cleaning throughout the home. As a result, we feel the Reliable E20 will allow us to keep on cleaning and cleaning for years to come.
Pluses:
Heavy duty quality at a great value. All components and parts such as the hoses, knobs, wheels and gauges were well-built.
It had a quick heat time up around 10 minutes so we didn't have to wait long to get cleaning. While heating up, we were able to lay out all of the attachments and get everything ready.
The handy filling bottle made it extremely easy to fill up the tank without any spilling or mess.
The unit is lightweight with a nice carrying handle making it easy to maneuver from room to room.
All of the attachments were of high-quality, comfortable and easy to detach and attach. A simple click into place and the attachment was fully secured.
The GO E20 came with all the right amount of attachments to help thoroughly clean the most stubborn areas, such as in between bathroom tiles and caked on grease on the stovetops. We were even able to reach those tight areas under cabinet doors and attack what seemed like years of collected dirt and dust.
What were annoying and cumbersome chores were now a cinch. For example, in the past scrubbing off soap scum in the bathtub required some muscle and lots of chemical-based cleaners. With the GO E20 and the nylon brush we were able to break down and blast away the scum with incredible ease. It was ensuring to know that we had a clean tub without any lingering chemicals!
The large rectangular brush worked like a charm on all types of flooring. The perfect amount of steam was emitted without leaving the floors soaking wet or with streaks. The floors were smooth, shiny and brought back to life once again!
Effective rug attachment. We were impressed with the amount of dirt the rug attachment lifted from our wall to wall carpet and the small nylon attachment was good for small stains.
Minuses:
Since the GO E20 does not have continuous fill technology, you have to let the unit cool for 20 minutes before refilling it with water. The Reliable VIVA E40 is a good fit for those who wish for a continuous fill machine
Exchanging and clipping in cleaning cloths on the rectangular and triangular brushes were somewhat awkward at times
No on-board storage for attachments
Hard to tell when water in tank was running low
Summary:
Overall, we were very pleased with this model's performance and value. The Reliable GO E20 is an excellent mid-level steam cleaner that features higher temperatures, sturdier construction, higher quality accessories and improved performance compared to Reliable's lower priced E3 and E5 models. The GO E20 did not let us down when cleaning multiple floor surfaces including bath tile, linoleum, carpet and laminate flooring. Also, the multiple attachments were easy to interchange on the fly. The Reliable GO E20 is a nice way to clean without chemicals – especially around areas frequented by kids and pets.
