We took home the Reliable EnviroMate E3 and put it through an exhaustive test. The initial result was "love it, love it, love it!!" The Reliable steam cleaner was used on sealed hardwood floors, tile, walls, grout, exposed brick, glass, rugs, the oven, refrigerator and bedding with exceptional cleaning results. We enjoyed the attachments which made it easier to clean tight corners and appliances. Overall, the Reliable steam cleaners allowed us to clean, clean, clean effectively and safely!

The heat and dryness of the steam is excellent for a steam cleaner at this price point and made loosening up grout and dirt an easy task.
Using the E3 Steam Cleaner is a wonderful way to leave the home sparkling clean without the use of harsh and hazardous chemicals commonly found in traditional household cleaners. It is especially safer and healthier to steam clean in areas where kids and pets frequent.
The Reliable E3 is user-friendly and includes all the right tools and features for a mid-range steam cleaner. Operation is simple and in only a matter of minutes the E3 will convert regular tap water into high temperature steam.
Because of all of the tools that are included, the E3 is a versatile machine that can clean just about any area of the home. In addition to blasting away dirt and grime on surfaces the E3 also allows you to sanitize and kill dust mites and bed bugs on bedding and upholstery.
With its steam regulation button right on the handle you can easily and quickly adjust the perfect amount of steam for the cleaning task at hand.
The rug tool and dry steam made it easy to spot clean the carpet without leaving little "puddles" on the rug. The power of the steam was able to free up pet hair, dust and dirt with ease.
We found that after emitting steam for shorter periods, the unit re-pressurized rather quickly compared to some of the lower-end steam cleaners out there. For those long sustained cleaning tasks we did have to wait around a minute or two for the pressure to build up to full strength but this didn’t interfere with our cleaning too much.
There are plenty of built-in safety features, such as boiler empty shut-off, built-in safety valve and thermal overload protection, which is always helpful and ensuring (especially for those new to steam cleaning).
For the novice steam cleaner user, this machine gets a bunch of routine cleaning tasks completed at a very modest price point.
Minuses:
We wish the cord was a bit longer when trying to reach areas in a larger room.
The towels could be bigger, especially when trying to double them up. However they are decent quality towels that are resilient and absorbent.
The E3 is the right choice if you wish to clean for about an hour or two at a time. For those who wish to clean longer, we suggest the Enviromate E5 continuous-fill steam cleaner.
It took a bit of time to initially heat up at 15 to 20 minutes but once it was ready one can clean for up to two hours before needing to refill it.
Summary:
The Reliable EnviroMate E3 is an affordable steam cleaner that effectively does the job on common cleaning chores. It includes all the basic tools for cleaning floors, tight corners, windows, refrigerators, sinks, microwaves, grills and much more. The overall construction and accessory tools are not as superior compared to our higher end models but the E3 still delivers high temperatures and great pressure for successfully getting the job done. Its user-friendly design and informative manual (we do suggest thoroughly going through the manual to learn about the machine and its’ uses) allow for the best possible user experience. Moving from to room to room is an easy task because of its caster wheels and compact design. However, we do wish the power cord length was a bit longer. For those who are seeking a mid-range yet durable and effective steam cleaner to perform a deep clean around the home once a month, then the Reliable EnviroMate E3 is the affordable choice
