AllergyBuyersClub.com, an e-commerce vendor of healthy home goods, announces that 2006 shipped sales were $14.7 million, representing a 26.3% increase over last year’s sales.

President and CEO, Mercia Tapping, notes that this rate of growth has been constant throughout the whole of 2006. She attributes the company’s growth to several strong marketing initiatives including more attention spent on web design to improve site conversion rates; improving inventory control to reduce backorder problems to almost zero; SKU pruning to eliminate high return products; and an enhanced print catalog program designed to drive prospective customers to the web.

Tapping forecasts a similar lift in sales to over $18 million in 2007 because of many new efforts in the works.

“We will be concentrating on expanding our new micro-site, SleepBuyersClub.com, and increasing our catalog drop to over 2 million in this coming year,” says Tapping. “In addition, we will be exporting the final products from our existing html site over to our new e-commerce platform in the first quarter of 2007. This in-house developed platform lets us maintain our site dynamically, while producing search engine friendly pages onto the web. This will allow us to continue to remain high in organic listings and at the same time further improve our page conversion rates.”

AllergyBuyersClub.com is a Waltham, MA based company founded in 1998 which sells healthy home products such as air purifiers, hepa vacuum cleaners, dehumidifiers and hypoallergenic bedding via the internet and catalog.
