Pluses:

Minuses:
Large, but more compact than past BriteLite models. It can still fit nicely on a desktop. Actual footprint is not very large, the light face is what is big.
A bit expensive but a good value when compared to other models which are more expensive or the cheaply made inexpensive modes that don’t work
Can take a little while to get use to the brightness and may take 2 to 3 days before you see its affects
Summary:
The BriteLite 6 is a great way to fight winter blues and SAD without out the use of drugs. It provides a wonderful bright sunny light that also comes with the warm feeling of the sun to quickly turn your mood from dull to cheery. Awhh, the power of sunlight *Smile*. Being a huge fan of summer and living in New England does not always go hand in hand. I got this light box to help me make it through the months of cold, gray days filled with rain and snow, yuck. It is a bit of an investment but compared to other models this one offers a lot of pluses. It has a more compact design and is lightweight making it easy to move from room to room so you can use it in the morning at breakfast and in the afternoon or early evening at your computer or in front of the TV. It produces a very bright light that takes a bit to get use to at first, but once you settle in you will love its brightness. I try not to miss a day of use in the winter or I become sluggish, irritated and moody. It's perfect for dark, cold mornings as it is powerful enough to brighten a whole room. My little dog loves it too. I sometimes put it on my plants when they start to not look that good and it seemed to really perk them up after a couple days of exposure. For me, the BriteLite 6 has been all I could have hoped for. It improved my whole household and makes the winters bearable. Would definitely recommend this product to others who live in temperate climates.
