This little vacuum is very versatile with easy clips that allow you to change its configuration in just seconds. The vacuum’s telescopic wand can be placed above or below the body canister to accommodate the area you are trying to clean, or it can be removed and vacuum turns into a hand held! The telescopic wand can be adjusted in height to fit the user.
The S168 has plenty of power for its size, with a 1000 watt motor powering its 10.5 lb body.
This vacuum is great for smaller sized apartments, dorm rooms, loft spaces, or as a handy companion to your Miele canister or full-sized upright vacuum for a quick clean up job.
You can breathe easy knowing that the S168 has an Active HEPA filter to help with air quality control as you vacuum.
We like the inclusion of the bag change indicator light which is helpful and easy to read.
The S168 comes standard with the combination rug and floor tool but is designed to work with a variety of Miele floor tools and accessories. We have conveniently packaged the S168 with a parquet floor brush (SBB 300-3) for those who have bare floors, with a turbo brush (STB 205-3) for those who have mostly bare floors and area rugs, and with a mid-sized power brush (SEB 217-3) for those with low to medium pile carpets.
Minuses:
Because the vacuum is small, it can only accommodate a small 2.6 qt. dust bag, so with heavy use you will have to frequently change the bag.
You do not get the luxury of automatic controls on this vacuum. It has manual suction controls located on the canister.
The standard combination rug and floor tool is an all purpose tool and not as good at cleaning mostly bare floors or carpets as the specific floor tools included in the additional packages.
No filter change indicator light.
