Skin
allergies form as a result of your body reacting to an allergen
that disagrees with it. There are many elements that can cause
your skin to react and form an allergy, including an allergy
to food, cold weather, an insect bites.

are hives and how do they occur? |

Hives
is a red, itchy, swollen area of your skin that often appears
in clusters. Hives appear suddenly and can last between two
to twenty four hours. Hives are caused by foods or medications.
The most common cause of hives includes peanuts, tree nuts,
and shellfish, such as crab, lobster, shrimp, etc. Sometimes
even exercise causes hives . This is called anaphylaxis, and
can be fatal if not detected and treated immediately. |

relation does food have to skin allergies? |

When
your body disagrees with a certain food, it will tell you by
reacting in a negative way on your skin. First indications include
rashes and hives. These symptoms may last from one minute to
hours or days. Other, more severe symptoms include joint pain
and immobility. Any and all allergic reactions should be taken
seriously and reported to your doctor. |
