How it Works: Manuka Honey has an antibacterial activity primarily due to the presence of hydrogen peroxide which is formed in a slow-release manner by the enzyme glucose oxidase. Manuka Honey can be diluted and still destroy bacteria very efficiently. It also contains an additional antibacterial compound found only in honey produced from the Leptospermum plant which is known as the Unique Manuka Factor or UMF. In addition, Manuka Honey is considered to be antimicrobial which means that it can destroy any infectious microorganisms whether they are bacterial, viral or fungal.
All Honeymark products use organic, active Manuka Honey UMF 16+. The honey is indigenous to New Zealand which is then imported and blended into the cream and lotions.

Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice: Derived from the aloe plant. Contains soothing, moisturizing and healing properties
Sodium Lauryl Glucoside Hydroxypropyl Sulfonate: A surfactant based on the renewable resources of corn and coconut. Used as a cleansing agent

Panthenol: A form of Vitamin B that is derived from plants. Used as a humectant, emollient and moisturizer
Manuka Honey: Derived from the nectar of the flowers that grow on the Manuka plant, indigenous to New Zealand. Contains natural antibacterial, antiviral, anti-fungal and anti-parasitic properties
Allantoin: An organic compound derived from plants. Used to heal, moisturize and soften skin
Sunflower Seed Oil: Rich in Vitamin E, this oil is used as an emollient, moisturizer and provides a protective barrier on the skin that resists infection
Citric Acid: Derived from fruit. Used as a mild, natural fragrance
Polysorbate-20: A nontoxic emulsifier derived from coconut oil
Sodium Benzoate: A type of salt used as a preservative

Ethyl Hexyl Glycerin: An organic compound and natural preservative that is derived from grains and plants
Care of:
