Description of Hi-E Dry Vehere Indoor Swimming Pool/Spa and Industrial Dehumidifiers
The Hi-E Dry Vehere Indoor Pool/Spa Dehumidifier keeps foggy windows and condensation on walls at bay through its innovative heat transfer technology. This efficient, durable and economic unit is used to control large amounts of unwanted moisture associated within indoor pools, spas, locker rooms and other commercial/industrial environments. This workhorse removes up to 185 pints of water per day and is controlled by a low voltage humidistat that can be mounted. The Vehere features a durable, stainless steel cabinet, gravity drain for condensate, 4 caster wheels and can be used free standing or easily adapted to by using optional ducting.
Dehumidification for indoor swimming pool/spa area:
The air inside an indoor swimming pool and/or spa or hot tub can be very humid. The reason is that large amounts of water can evaporate from the surface of the water into the air. The water surface of your pool acts like a large humidifier capable of adding significant moisture to the room. It is important to keep the pool water cooler than the air. Ideal conditions are an air temperature of 82 degrees and a water temperature of 80 degrees. If one allows these ideal conditions to change and the pool water temperature becomes higher than the air temperature, the rate of evaporation of moisture into the air will increase dramatically.
Without effective dehumidification, you risk the appearance of mold, corrosion, structural damage, and an uncomfortable pool environment. It is also highly recommended that you use a pool cover when the pool is not in use which will reduce the amount of moisture evaporated into the air. An added benefit to covering your pool will be the energy you will save not heating your water due to the heat that would not be lost into the air.
4 Common Indicators of Humidity Problems in Your Indoor Pool or Spa Room:
1) You find it uncomfortably humid in the pool area when in street cloths
2) Strong and persistent smell of chlorine
3) Foggy windows
4) Rust on metal objects

Wants a dehumidifier that will remove moisture that may cause corrosion and structural damage within an indoor pool facility, aerobic room, workout area, or locker and laundry rooms.
Wants a dehumidifier that removes large quantities of water at a relatively lower energy consumption compared to other commercial units

How it Works:
The intended application for the Vehere is as a pool & spa area humidity sensing controller applied either as a free-standing device directly in the pool area or operated remotely to provide dehumidified air to the pool or spa area using optional ducting and remotely mounting the humidity controller. The Vehere high efficiency dehumidifier utilizes refrigeration to cool an incoming air stream below its dew point as it passes through an evaporator coil. This cooling results in the removal of moisture (latent heat). The cooled and dried air is used to pre-cool the incoming air stream resulting in up to 200 percent increase in overall efficiency.
Product Usage:
HI-E DRY dehumidifiers control damaging moisture and humidity in a wide range of commercial applications. Some applications include the following:
Health & Fitness: Indoor pools, whirlpools and spas, therapy rooms, locker rooms, health clubs, skating rinks, hospitals, allergy control, gymnasiums
Utilities: Water treatment plants, pumping stations, power plants, sanitation plants, telecommunications, well houses, switching stations

The high efficiency line of dehumidifiers branded Hi-E Dry consists of 3 models with varying performance and room coverage. The Hi-E Dry VEHERE is able to remove up to 185 pints per day at energy efficient 5.4 pints per kilowatt hour of electricity used. What the VEHERE adds that the other Hi-E Dry models do not is it comes standard with the duct kit and includes a low voltage remote dehumidistat for easier installation. Furthermore, because of its ducting options it can be used in a wide variety of commercial applications in addition to its most common use being residential and commercial indoor pools.
Pluses:
Large room coverage of up to 5000 square feet and can remove up to 185 pints of moisture per 24 hour period.
Lower energy consumption: A smaller refrigeration system requires a smaller electrical load. The Vehere removes over 190 pounds of water a day (80°F 60% RH) while drawing only 12 amps of electricity.
Easy drainage with 20 foot of condensate hose makes drainage a snap.
Portable and easy to move with 4 casters.
Good filtration: comes standard with 2 MERV 8 rated 2 inch thick pleated filters.
Excellent construction: all metal construction seals the housing to protect the internal wiring from the elements.
Remote dehumidistat is provided: allows 24 volt low voltage easy installation to maintain accurate humidity levels in the room.
Comes standard with the ducting collars for space & noise issues: allows one to set it up in a remote room to conserve space and reduce the noise from the fan and compressor.
Minuses:
At 180 pounds it is a very heavy dehumidifier but they do provide casters so one does not have to lift it to transport it on the same level.
It is not the quietest of dehumidifiers but one does have options like remote installation in an adjoining room and/or attaching ducting hose to the supply side utilizing the optional duct kit.
Summary:
The Hi-E Dry dehumidifiers represent some of the finest machines available on the market providing incredible moisture removal at a very inexpensive price. The secret is its patented "Revaporator" process which basically reapplies the previously cooled and dried air to pre-cool the incoming air stream resulting in a 200 percent increase in overall efficiency. As a result, the Hi-E Dry VEHERE is extremely frugal when it comes to electricity expense removing 5.4 pints per kilowatt hour of electricity, which is more than twice the typical dehumidifier will. In addition, it can dry out any room up to 5000 square feet and is strong enough to be used to maintain the moisture in an indoor pool. We like that it comes with two efficient filters to protect the inside as well as improve the air quality. A few minor complaints would be the weight at 180 pounds that is assisted with casters but is difficult if needed to be moved up or down stairs and that it is not one of the quietest units. However, we have found that utilizing the optional duct kit allows you to set it up in a remote room so it is not seen or heard. Furthermore, by simply attaching a 6 foot section of ducting hose to the supply collar there is a noticeable reduction in the level of the noise. The Hi-E Dry VEHERE will remove moisture in a variety of conditions including lower temperatures down to 35 degrees. However, it is most efficient at air temperatures above 50 degrees and will reach and maintain humidity levels of 50% at temperatures of 55 degrees and above. With the addition of the VEHERE to the Hi-E Dry line they have thought of just about everything by including the ducting kit as well as a low voltage remote dehumidistat that is easy to install in the adjoining room that is being dehumidified. It does not come with a built in pump as in the 100 & 195 models but they do include a 20 foot section of drain hose for gravity driven drainage. The VEHERE is the Hi-E Dry model of choice for those planning to duct the air in from an adjoining room and set-up in a remote location.
