We are very happy to have found the HAAN HS-20 handheld steamer with its quality construction and versatility due to its cleaning attachments that come standard with it. The HS-20 isn't a miracle worker when attempting to thoroughly deep clean larger areas but it will make those lighter cleaning chores much easier and quicker (and without the use of chemicals).
Pluses:
- Quick heat up time of only 3 – 4 minutes
- Easy control trigger with locking handle
- Stainless steel tank and pressure locking safety cap
- Includes a vast array of accessories to fulfill many of your cleaning needs. Overall, we found the accessories easy to attach and remove
- Indicator lights tells you when the unit is on, ready to use, and out of water.
Minuses:
- Heavy & awkward to hold
- Loses pressure after 10 seconds but recuperates within 5 to 10 seconds
- No steam pressure adjustment
Summary:
The HAAN HS-20 handheld steamer is well made and does a nice job for the money. It worked wonderfully with removing caked-on spills on ovens, refrigerators, microwaves and sinks. We were impressed with all of the accessories that come standard at no additional cost. The unit heated up quickly and provided dry vapor steam that didn't drip much. However, we would have liked if it was able to retain its pressure for a longer period of time (it did regain pressure fairly quickly). Overall, this is an effective tool to have on hand when it comes time to do those quick chores around the kitchen, bathroom and other areas of the home.
