How it Works:
The HAAN Floor Steam Mops utilizes steam to remove tough grease, dirt and grime. Steam is nature’s purest and most powerful cleaner for safely cleaning all hard floor surfaces in your home without harsh chemicals, thus being perfectly ecological. It cleans your tile, hardwood, linoleum and vinyl floors.
Care of:
The HAAN Steam Mop is designed to clean hard floor surfaces that will withstand high heat. Do not use on unsealed wood or unglazed ceramic floors. It is recommended to test an isolated area of the surface to be cleaned before proceeding. Never leave the floor sanitizer in one spot for any period of time. Always place the appliance on the safety floor pad and make sure that your floor sanitizer is turned off when not in use.
Use only regular water or distilled/purified water if the tap water in your area is very hard. It is recommended to clean the water tank once a month to eliminate calcium deposits. Add three ounces of water to the tank and shake to loosen any deposits. Immediately empty the water into a sink. Do not use vinegar or other decalcifying substances in the water tank.

As the new line of HAAN floor steam mops entered the office door, immediately everybody in the office was anxious to take a look and try out! The fun colors and sleek style was a sure hit and the jaws instantly dropped when it was realized on how light these floor cleaners are. As each steam mop entered a new home to be quickly tested on all types of floors, the overall response was very positive. One member of our staff gave the FS-20 model to her 75-year-old mother thinking its' light weight and simple, easy-to-use operation would be the perfect match for all of her cleaning needs. The HAAN floor steam mop was certainly a match made in heaven.
Pluses:
These floor steam mops are very lightweight at only around 5 lbs, making it extremely helpful for the elderly or for those who like to move around and clean multiple rooms.
Everyone enjoyed the simple, easy-to-use operation which still resulted with powerful results on their floors. Just simply use the measuring cup (provided) to fill the tank with tap water, wait around 2 - 3 minutes to heat up (an orange light on the cap will light up to let you know it is ready) and then clean away!
No more messy buckets or mops! Even after many uses, the HAAN steam mop provided dry steam leaving nothing but clean floors behind. Our 75-year-old tester was very appreciative of this considering she didn't have to carry and empty tanks, bend over, go on hands and knees or perform other cumbersome tasks that go along when using the traditional bucket and mop cleaning method.
We were impressed with how sturdy and effective the Ultra-microfiber cleaning pads were after many uses. The pads contained multiple absorbent layers but was thinner and less bulky compared to other microfiber pads we have seen in the past. It sometimes took a little bit of muscle to remove from the Velcro bottom. However this proved that the pads were always secure on the unit, making it easier to maneuver while cleaning.
Also, it was very useful to have washable microfiber pads eliminating the need to purchase and store numerous types of cleaning pads and rags.
The long power chord made it very easy to clean the larger rooms without having to stop and find another outlet to plug into.
The design and attractive colors added to the positive cleaning experience. Many testers stated they actually had more fun cleaning because of the design!
Minuses:
You have to pay close attention to not leave the machine exposed on the floors while it is warming up as it may potentially "scorch" the floor and leave some marks. The unit is equipped with a sturdy and efficient warming pad so this does not occur. This should also be used when the unit isn’t in use and cooling down.
There were a few moments where some of testers had difficulty getting to some of the nooks and crannies and corners of their kitchen and would have enjoyed a swivel feature for flexibility.
Moving the steam mop back and forth would be easier if the handle was more ergonomic in design.
Summary:
As the merchandising team gathered all the results from the testers, there were much of the same responses. Lightweight, easy to use and joy after seeing all of the spots on their floors disappear! And at an affordable price as well. It makes for a perfect solution for busy households that need to quickly and effectively clean up spills and messes without having to perform a laborious chore using multiple cleaning supplies. We are excited to be offering such an affordable, simple, sturdy and efficient steam floor cleaner to our line of green, chemical-free cleaning products.
