Pluses:
- Quick and convenient to use
- Handheld vacuum detaches easily from stick
- Handheld is great for cleaning counter tops and furniture
- Lightweight and easy to control and maneuver
- Motorized brush roll effectively picks-up dirt and debris from rugs and carpets
- Small, slim design is easy to store in a closet or discretely in a room
- Affordable price and inexpensive to maintain
- Filter is easy to access and empty
Minuses:
- A full charge will only provide 12 minutes of cleaning but that is usually plenty of time for quick clean ups which is what this vacuum is ideal for
- Dust bin is small and fills up quickly
- Emptying the dust bin and cleaning the filter can be a dusty process and is best done outside by a non allergy sufferer (the use of a filtering face mask is a good precautionary measure)
- Handheld vacuum is not powerful enough to pick up embedded dirt
Summary:
This is a very convenient cleaning tool to have on hand. It is perfect for a quick clean up prior to guest coming over or for quickly cleaning up after the kids or pets (i.e messy eaters). I found the vacuum to be very lightweight, making it easy to maneuvers from hard floors to rugs and around corners. I was able to carry it up and down the stairs without hassle, but when in a big hurry I just grabbed the handheld! It has adequate suction for picking up most small messes. I found the stick vacuum to be much more efficient on low pile thin rugs than on high pile thick rugs. The handheld was great for tidying the couches and removing crumbs from the counter tops and stove. When using it in the car, it efficiently removed crumbs and such from the seats but it did not do so well at sucking up all the fine embedded sand and dirt in the carpet. In summary, I would highly recommend this 2-in-1 vacuum for all busy households on a budget - it is quick, easy, efficient and affordable. Keep in mind you only get 12 minutes of power out of a full charge, and it is only 9.6 volts of power, so don’t expect this to replace your full size vacuum. One more thing to mention, the dust bin and filter fill up quickly and require frequent dumping and cleaning. Though this is an easy task, it does spill dust into the air, so empty it outside and be careful not to breathe in the dust.
