We have been a huge fan of Electrolux’s 2-in-1 vacuum cleaners ever since Electrolux first came out with the 9.6 volt red Pronto quite a few years ago. We are happy they have created a more powerful 12 volt model and are glad to see improvements to the powerhead and controls, which enhance its overall performance.
Pluses:
More powerful pick-up. The review team noticed the 12 volts of power made a difference in the Electrolux Ergorapido Ultra+ EL1022A vacuum cleaner’s ability to pick-up pet hair and dirt when compared to the 9.6 volt Electrolux Ergorapido EL1014A vacuum cleaner.
Very convenient for tidying up the house. Reviewers said the Electrolux Ergorapido Ultra+ EL1022A vacuum cleaner is so useful and easy to use, they found themselves reaching for it every time they saw a crumb or dust bunny. They also loved how it helped extend the time in between vacuuming with their full-size vacuum.

Reviewers said they did not realize how handy the Electrolux Ergorapido Ultra+ EL1022A vacuum cleaner is until they had it inside their home. You can basically tidy-up everything with it. The Electrolux Ergorapido Ultra+ EL1022A vacuum cleaner is ideal for a busy household with pets and children who make daily messes, and is also great for a single person or a busy couple who doesn’t need to clean all that often but would like a simple solution for picking up dust and dirt in between scheduled cleaning days.
Minuses:
Fair filtration. The Electrolux Ergorapido Ultra+ EL1022A vacuum cleaner is not a sealed HEPA filtration system, however the reviewers did not notice any dust or odors being exhausted back into the room.
Doesn’t park on its own. The Electrolux Ergorapido Ultra+ EL1022A vacuum cleaner does not park on its own but it does have a rubber strip with stoppers along the handle so it can be placed against a wall and not slip to the floor.
Small capacity dirt container: The dirt container on the Electrolux Ergorapido Ultra+ EL1022A vacuum cleaner only holds about two cups of dry debris and needs to be emptied frequently.
16 hours to fully recharge. Since it is battery operated, its power supply has a time limit which is approximately 12-20 minutes and it needs 16 hours to fully recharge when it runs out of battery power. Our reviewers did not complain about the vacuum’s run time but they did think 16 hours of charging was a long time to wait for only 12 to 20 minutes of use.

We recommend placing the charging stand in a room such as an entry way or kitchen where you constantly have little messes to pick up and you will be amazed at how much easier it is to keep a tidy home. Just remember to plug-in the charging base so the vacuum can re-charge after being used. The battery will only provide 12-20 minutes of power and once it is depleted you have to wait 16 hours for it to fully recharge.
