18 Volt Lithium Ion Battery: holds a charge for up to 30 minutes on normal speed, 16 minutes on high speed, and charges 4 times faster than NiHM batteries. 50% more powerful than previous Electrolux models.
Battery Life Indicator: LED indicator on the handheld vacuum will illuminate 3 blue lights when battery capacity is >75%, 2 blue lights when battery capacity is 75-25%, 1 blue light when battery capacity is <25% and 1 blue blinking light when battery is empty. When unit is charging indicator light is on. When fully charged the indicator light will turn off and go into standby mode, blinking only once per minute to save energy.
Warning Light: the LED indicator light will illuminate red if the vacuum overheats and will blink red if there is an obstruction or clog.

We have been a huge fan of Electrolux’s 2-in-1 vacuum cleaners ever since they first came out with the 9.6 volt red Electrolux Pronto quite a few years ago. Our review team was very impressed with the Electrolux Ergorapido Ion EL1030A vacuum cleaner and pleased with the improvements to power and design. It is by far the best 2-in-1 vacuum Electrolux has produced offering plenty of suction, long run time, faster charging and improved maneuverability on carpets.
Pluses:
50% more powerful than the 9.6 volt Electrolux Ergorapido vacuum cleaners. Powered by an 18 volt lithium ion battery the Electrolux Ergorapido Ion EL1030A vacuum cleaner offers twice as much suction power as the original Electrolux 2-in-1 models. Reviewers were happy with the Ion’s performance when challenged with harder to pick-up messes such as clumps of dirt, sand, pebbles, paper shavings and pet hair.
Very convenient for tidying up the house. The Electrolux Ergorapido Ion EL1030A vacuum cleaner is so useful and easy to use. Some of our reviewers admitted that since it’s so convenient to use, they found themselves grabbing for whenever they noticed a crumb or dust bunny starting to collect. When used on the lower speed setting the Electrolux Ergorapido Ion EL1030A vacuum cleaner can be used for up to 30 minutes, 10 minutes longer than the Electrolux Ergorapido Ultra+ vacuum cleaner. The handheld vacuum uses the high power setting and will last for 16 minutes, 4 minutes longer than the Electrolux Ergorapido Ultra+ handheld vacuum cleaner.
Smart indicator lights. The Electrolux Ergorapido Ion EL1030A vacuum cleaner is the most sophisticated Electrolux 2-in-1 model. Reviewers liked the vacuum’s 3-stage blue LED battery life indicator which also turns red to warn of an obstruction or clog.

Minuses:
Fair filtration. The Electrolux Ergorapido Ion EL1030A vacuum cleaner is not a sealed HEPA filtration system, however the reviewers did not notice any dust or odors being exhausted back into the room.
A bit noisy on high suction setting. Reviewers found the Electrolux Ergorapido Ion EL1030A vacuum cleaner to be a bit noisier than the 9.6 volt and 12 volt Electrolux Ergorapidos when used on high suction setting.
Doesn’t park on its own. The Electrolux Ergorapido Ion EL1030A vacuum cleaner does not park on its own but it does have a rubber strip with stoppers along the handle so it can be placed against a wall and not slip to the floor.
Small capacity dirt container: The dirt container on the Electrolux Ergorapido Ion EL1030A vacuum cleaner only holds about two cups of dry debris and needs to be emptied frequently.
