A quick cleaning of the filters is recommend after about 3 uses or when the suction power seems less powerful (the filter has a built in cleaning mechanism that snaps dust off the filter. A thorough washing the filters and dust container is recommended after about 5 uses. Replace filter as needed depending on use.

We have been a huge fan of Electrolux’s 2-in-1 vacuum cleaners ever since they first came out with the 9.6 volt red Pronto quite a few years ago. We are happy they have created a more powerful 12 volt model and are glad to see improvements to the powerhead and controls which enhance its performance. It is also nice to see Electrolux is thinking about the environment with the introduction of their new “Green” vacuum series made from recycled plastics.
Pluses:
More powerful pick-up. The review team noticed that the 12 volts of power made a difference in the Electrolux EL1024A Ergorapido Green vacuum cleaner’s ability to pick-up pet hair and dirt, when compared to the 9.6 volt Electrolux EL1014A Ergorapido.
Quieter operation. Our review team was very surprised to notice the Electrolux EL1024A Ergorapido Green vacuum cleaner was quieter than the comparable 12 volt Electrolux EL1022A Ergorapido Ultra+ vacuum cleaner. Possible something to do with its efficient Green design?
Very convenient for tidying up the house. Reviewers said the Electrolux EL1024A Ergorapido Green vacuum cleaner is so useful and easy to use, they found themselves reaching for it every time they saw a crumb or dust bunny. They also loved how it helped extend the time in between vacuuming with their full-size vacuum.

Reviewers said their arms did not get tired while vacuuming the floor or upholstery and they were very pleased with how easy the handheld vacuum is to remove and put back into place.
Easy touch controls at your finger tips. The controls on the Electrolux EL1024A Ergorapido Green vacuum cleaner have been improved from the older Electrolux Ergorapido models. The power switch now functions more like a soft touch button and reviewers were very happy with its performance and location. The controls for both the stick and handheld vacuum are positioned so they are easy to turn on or off with your thumb. Reviewers were glad that the controls switch on/off and that they did not have to hold a button in order to keep the vacuum on.
Improved maneuverability on carpets. Reviewers were very pleased with the improved powerhead design of the Electrolux EL1024A Ergorapido Green vacuum cleaner. Reviewers noticed the new powerhead did not catch on the carpet like the older models and were happy to report they could clean most rugs and carpet with an uninterrupted back and forth motion (with the exception of tall pile carpet like shag).
20 minutes of battery life. The Electrolux EL1024A Ergorapido Green vacuum cleaner’s battery holds a charge for up to 20 minutes on the lower power setting and all reviewers were able to complete their quick floor cleaning without running out of power. The handheld uses the high power setting which gives 12 minutes of cleaning time which reviewers also found to be a sufficient amount of time for removing hair and dust from furniture or cleaning a mess from the counter top.
Great value for the price. The Electrolux EL1024A Ergorapido Green vacuum cleaner represents a tremendous value at an affordable price and requires minimal additional costs to keep it running. Reviewers said they did not realize how handy Electrolux EL1024A Ergorapido Green vacuum cleaner is until they had it inside their home. You can basically tidy-up everything with it.
Minuses:
Fair filtration. Not a sealed HEPA filtration system, however we did not notice any dust or odors being exhausted back into the room.
The vacuum does not park on its own but it does have a rubber parking strip along the handle so it can be placed against a wall and not slip to the floor. Place it on its charging stand for neat storage when not in use.
The dirt container only holds about two cups of dirt and needs to be emptied frequently to work effectively. Emptying can be messy so do it outside and avoid wind.
Since it is battery operated, its power supply has a time limit which is approximately 12-20 minutes and it needs 16 hours to fully recharge when it runs out of battery power. Our reviewers did not complain about the vacuum’s run time but they did think 16 hours of charging was a long time to wait for only 12 to 20 minutes of use.
Summary:
The Electrolux EL1024A Ergorapido Green vacuum cleaner is ideal for a busy household with pets and children who make daily messes, and is also great for a single person or a busy couple who doesn’t need to clean all that often, but would like a simple solution for picking up dust and dirt in between scheduled cleaning days. We recommend keeping the vacuum in a room such as an entry way or kitchen where you constantly have little messes to pick up. Just remember to plug-in the charging base so the vacuum can re-charge after being used. The battery provides up to 20 minutes of cleaning time.
