The Ebac Neptune is the ideal choice dehumidifier for commercial and residential areas of medium size. The compact dehumidifier operates down to 33°F and has the capacity to handle several room-size areas at a time. Both quiet and energy efficient, these dehumidifiers are very popular with our customers, especially with restoration specialists. Although they do not have wheels like the Ebac Triton, these dehumidifiers have a rugged steel cabinet, carry handle, and Ebac's "Hot Gas" defrosting feature which automatically eliminates frost build up on evaporator coils, providing continuous, effective dehumidifier operation at low temperatures. Works well with optional water condensate pump sold below.

How it Works:
The Neptune dehumidifier, with its temperature sensitive defrost control ensures optimum performance throughout the units full operating temperature range. Moisture is removed from the air through an efficient refrigeration process. The fan draws the moist air through the cold evaporator coil, which cools the air below its dew point. Moisture forms on the evaporator coil and is collected in the condensate tray. The cooled air then passes through the hot condenser coil where it is reheated using the same energy removed during the cooling phase, plus the additional heat generated by the compressor. The air is, therefore, discharged from the dehumidifier at a slightly higher temperature with a lower absolute humidity than that which entered. Continuous circulation of air through the dehumidifier gradually reduces the relative humidity within the area.

The Ebac Neptune is ideal for medium size application in industrial and commercial environments. Furthermore, it is quiet enough to still use in a residential basement, garage, or any area of one’s home. It is not the prettiest cabinet to look at so most people will prefer using it in an unfinished area or for emergency and urgent water removal situations that may arise from flooding due to the weather or interior malfunctions.
Pluses:
Energy Efficient: uses low energy to run dehumidifiers - 2.25 RLA (running load amps) per hour.
Powerful: has a compressor that handles 5,600 BTU per hour.
Easy mobility: dehumidifier has 1 durable carry handle for transport.
Affordable: priced within the budget of most restoration specialists or homeowners.
Low temperature operation: hot gas defrost is a great feature of these Ebac dehumidifiers, and particularly important in cold basements or unheated areas that require constant dehumidification; without a defrost feature, dehumidifiers can shut off for long periods of time.
Minuses:
No adjustable humidistat, however the optional humidistat controller sold below can help power the dehumidifier on and off based on the desired humidity level chosen
Dehumidifier does not include a condensate pump, however the optional pump sold below can help remove the moisture automatically
Not as mobile as the Ebac Triton, since the Neptune does not have wheels

The Ebac Neptune Dehumidifier is a rugged, yet portable dehumidifier with a carry handle that will operate under extreme conditions and pull large amounts of moisture from the air. Features such as a powerful and efficient compressor, hot gas defrost, rugged exterior, extra long power cord, and anti-vibration rubber feet provide fast, dependable, and energy-efficient drying. The low temperature operation and high water removal capacity make it an excellent choice for any room or rooms as large as 1000 to 1200 square feet in a home or commercial environment. To make it easier to move from place to place it would have been nice if it came with casters since many persons choose to use it in this fashion. Furthermore, including an adjustable humidistat would make it better suited for residential humidity control on a permanent day in day out basis. However, one has to consider what they are getting for the price and the Neptune does offer a lot in the way of performance to the extent we feel you will not hesitate to purchase it and be willing to overlook these minor shortcomings.
