- Virtually maintenance free: This humidifier only requires cleaning once a year in the spring. Easily clean the machine with the bottom valve clean out drain. If you choose the optional water filter, that too only needs to be replaced once a year.
- No refill required: The desert spring humidifier easily connects to your water system so it never needs to be refilled.
- Humidistat: Simply set the humidistat between 30-50% relative humidity and forget about it. A digital humidistat is packaged with this unit as well for personal monitoring.
- Rotary disc humidifier: Eliminates stress on the motor, making this a machine that will last for years. This patented disc has an evaporating surface of over 15 square feet.
- Inhibits the growth of mold and bacteria: The hot furnace air deters the growth of mold and bacteria on the humidifier.
- Prevents mineral build up: The patented rotary disc design reduces the amount of hard water deposits, which prevents the machine from clogging. The auto flush option (sold separately) enhances this feature and lessens the amount of cleaning necessary.
- Auto flush adapter (optional): Automatically flushes your humidifier and removes hard water deposits. This flush system can be automatically timed to flush every 12, 24 or 48 hours. The Auto flush protects your humidifier from harmful minerals and premature motor failure.
- Water filter (optional): The polyphosphate water filter removes approximately 95% of all scale-forming minerals including lime. It can easily be inserted in minutes and increases the cleanliness of the humidifier, making it more efficient. This filter should be replaced every 1250 gallons or 6-9 months.

Care of:
Installation: This humidifier initially requires 1-2 hours of installation. Use with a hot air system and have it professionally installed. We highly recommend using a licensed plumber to install this unit. Required tools for assembly include: Phillips head and Robertson head screwdrivers, pliers, drill, adjustable wrench, tin snips, and a pencil.
Annual Cleaning*: Empty the reservoir by using the bottom valve cleaning drain. Then wipe out the water reservoir. If you are using a water filter, remove the water filter and replace it with a new filter before you begin using your humidifier in the fall.
*Please note: Cleaning may be required more frequently if your water supply comes from a well or other sources with high mineral counts. In this case, clean the furnace humidifier as necessary, when the inside of the water reservoir feels gritty due to a build up of minerals. Also, the water filter typically needs to be replaced every 6-9 months. If there is a noticed decrease in water flow, the filter should be changed.
