UVC Filter Technology: Most air purifiers that have UV filters which only filter out UVA and UVB light. But the CX 1000 air purifiers have perfected UV light technology to also filter out UVC lights, and the user is never in direct view of the UV/C bolt. The “C” wavelength in UV light is the most germicidal, ensuring pure air with practically every germ exterminated. UVC also helps prevent the spread of infectious diseases by killing bacteria and is cutting-edge technology that works.
Aluminum Grid: The CX 1000 grid is made from aluminum with titanium etched onto the grid, making it permanent. This never has to be replaced and won’t fall off as opposed to cardboard grids. With a cardboard grid found in some competing air purifiers, the titanium is deactivated when humidity passes over it, making its germicidal capabilities limited due to the need to replace the grid periodically. Plus, this aluminum deflector protects the consumer from viewing UV light and increases the quantity of particles passing over the UV bolt so more pollutants and allergens are destroyed during photo-catalytic oxidation.

Pluses:
Functional: The automatic controls adjust for both room activity and particulate control so it was easy for us to choose which setting we wanted the purifier to function on.
Self-regulating: The CX 1000 was great at constantly monitoring air quality. By using sensors it even increases purification power at the slightest sign of an increase in pollutants so we didn’t have to adjust when there was a smell or more pollutants because the purifier did it for us.
Effective Purification: The UV light enhances bacteria, mold and virus elimination. This purifier uses UVC light as well, which is the most germicidal of all UV wavelengths so more germs and bacteria are destroyed.
Efficiency: Covers up to 900 sq. ft. (up to 265 cubic feet per minute) which is perfect for a massive open space such as a great room, basement, or in our case, first floor of a house.
Portable: Built-in handles makes moving the purifier so simple, it is not too heavy or bulky for the large area it purifies.
Versatile: The purifier can be placed against a wall or freestanding and does not take up too much room or stand out as an eyesore.
Smart: Lights indicate when filters and UV bulb needs to be changed so you don’t have to keep track of months, making maintenance simple and practically carefree.
Easy Maintenance: The pre-filter can be cleaned with a vacuum, the HEPA filter needs to be changed after 2 years and the UV lamp needs to changed every year.
Minuses:
Movement: The purifier has no wheels making the moving process slightly difficult
Off-gas: When new, the smell of off-gassing can be a bit annoying. This will dissipate in a short time.
Summary:
We were very happy with this purifier, resulting in a 4.5 star rating. The CX 1000 air purification systems use different technologies to create a healthy living or working space. Photo-catalytic oxidation, UV light and electronic sensors combine in the CX 1000 model to eliminate everything from bacteria to smog to pesticides. The auto-mode that makes sure the purifiers increase filtering and destroying power with a spike in pollutants is the smartest feature for an air purifier. We didn’t have to adjust the purification power unless we wanted to, because when the CX 1000 sensed that there were more pollutants, it got right to work. Also, the fact that there are warning lights to alert at the first presence of fumes or toxic chemicals well before they reach hazardous levels is not just helpful, it can be lifesaving. This air purifier can be placed in a room against a wall or freestanding, it can even be mounted to the ceiling or wall but we think it will be too noticeable. We are glad to be offering a portable model of this purifier, and although the CX 1000 is a single room purifier, it can handle any area up to 900 sq. ft.
Warranty: The CX 1000 comes with a limited lifetime warranty. This warranty provides for repair replacement of any defective parts or components for two years from the date of purchase at no charge for labor or materials. Ultraviolet lamp and expendable filter cartridge media are consumables, therefore are exempt from this warranty.
