Care of: Due to filtration of particulates and contaminants from the water during use, the flow of the water from the filter may deteriorate over a period of time. To restore the water flow to its normal level, simply remove and clean by scrubbing the surface of the filter with an abrasive non detergent scouring pad. The reduced flow of water would be the indicator that it is time to clean your filter. The cleaning frequency will depend upon the quality of the water supply. Depending on use and water conditions filter should be replaced once a year.

The stainless steel housing is not only aesthetically pleasing but also provides added durability with long-lasting use. This certainly isn't a cheap, plastic and flimsy filtration system!
This system utilizes a Doulton Ultracarb ceramic filter, which we feel is one of the best filter options when it comes to removing parasites, lead, chlorine taste and odor and other harmful contaminants. There is a reason why Doulton is a trusted name in water purification.
The water tastes great! We have very high levels of chlorine in our water supply that we can easily taste and smell. Upon installing the AquaCera filter we noticed an outstanding reduction in the chlorine and the water was once again drinkable.
The AquaCera filter can last a year or even more depending on water conditions without needing replacement. To prolong the use of the filter you unscrew the housing, take out the filter candle and clean the surface with a scouring pad. We are always amazed with how dirty the filter is every time we need to clean it (which we can easily tell by the reduction in the flow rate). This proves that the filter is effectively removing contaminants.
Overall, we found installing this countertop filter fairly simple and easy and it only took a matter of minutes. We like how it comes with 2 different faucet adapters in case one doesn't fit correctly. The adapters fit on most standard faucets but will not work on the some designer kitchen faucets.
