Description of AquaCera Quick Change Reverse Osmosis System
The AquaCera Quick Change Reverse Osmosis System is designed to remove the widest spectrum of contaminants with easy to maintain filter cartridges. Unlike conventional reverse osmosis units, the Quick Change system features cartridges that will quickly connect and disconnect with a simple 1/4 turn. So there's no mess or complicated cleaning procedures when it's time to replace filter cartridges! The 4-stage filtration system uses sediment, pre-carbon and post carbon filters along with a reverse-osmosis membrane to remove up to 98% of all salts, hard water minerals and other harmful contaminants. The filtration system is compact, easily fits under the counter and includes a designer faucet to continuously deliver clean water daily. 50 gallon capacity.
AquaCera Quick Change Reverse Osmosis System are ideal for someone who...
Wants an easy to install and easy to maintain drinking water filter.
Needs a large storage tank for pure water any time.
Wants to remove up to 98% of salts, sediments, hard water minerals and other dissolved and suspended solids from home drinking water.
Would like to clean, cook and water plants with purified water.
Stage 1 – Sediment filter: Five micron sediment filter that traps sediment and other particulate matter like dirt, salt
Stage 2 – Pre-Carbon filter: Carbon block filter that helps ensure that chlorine, odor and bad taste is reduced
Stage 3 – Membrane: Semi-permeable membrane will take out salts, minerals, metals, bacteria, viruses, cysts and much more.
Stage 4 – Post Carbon Filter: granulated activated carbon (GAC) cartridge using coconut shell carbon to assure good tasting drinking water
Includes storage tank: because the process of extracting the water takes time, the system is equipped with a storage tank
Cartridges connect directly to the unit with a simple 1/4 turn
With a standard reverse osmosis system, you have to unscrew the housings to remove the filters. This procedure requires to shut off and drain down the system, open the housings, empty water from the sumps, clean the housings, replace cartridges, re-pressurize and check for any leaks
The Quick Change does not interrupt the quality of water, service and use desired
Filter housings are eliminated. No mess during replacement
Internal valves shut-off flow when cartridges are removed
Cartridges have double-o-rings so they won't leak
All components are an integral part of the unit, which requires fewer tube connections for greater reliability
Back-flow prevention valves are installed between the elements, for water quality assurance
Tank Construction: One-Piece Composite NSF Polypropylene. Does not leach chemicals
Includes: 1 tank, 1 RO system, 1 parts bag, 1 faucet bag, manual and warranty card
Total Dissolved Solids (TDS): <1800 ppm
Plumber installation recommended
Filtration System
How it Works:
Reverse osmosis technology is a method of producing pure water by forcing saline or impure water through a semi-permeable membrane across which salts or impurities cannot pass. This method is effective and has a high removal rate of dissolved and suspended solids as well as hard water and salts.
Care of:
The Sediment and Pre-Carbon filters should be changed 6 - 12 months. The Post Carbon Filter should be changed every 12 months depending on use. It is recommended to change the membrane every 1 – 2 years.
Product Usage: Recommended hardness should not exceed 10 grains per gallon, or 170 ppm. System will operate with hardness over 10 grains but the membrane life may be shortened. (Addition of a water softener may lengthen the life of the membrane.)
Reverse Osmosis water should not be run through copper tubing as the purity of the water will leach copper and cause an objectionable taste in water and may cause damage to copper tubing.
One replacement Sediment filter. Traps sediment and other particulate. Should be replaced every 6 months.
