These air purifiers are equipped with a unique tar trapping pre-filter and 24 to 27 pounds of activated carbon to trap tar particles and adsorb the odors, chemical, and gases that accompany tobacco smoke. Don’t just remove the smoke, remove the harmful toxins associated with it.
Features of AllerAir 5000 Air Purifiers for Tobacco Smoke
Excellent filtration: Tar trapping pre-filter, Micro-HEPA filter and activated carbon filter.
Unique tar trapping pre-filter: Specially designed to trap tar and large airborne particles to prolong the life of the carbon and HEPA filters
Carbon filter: Special smoking blend to trap up to 400 toxic chemicals found in tobacco smoke.
Micro-HEPA filter: Captures air-borne particles such as fine ash.
Optional UV germicidal light: To enhance filtration of germs, bacteria, and viruses.
Robust all-metal housing with baked enamel avoids the release of vapors from plastics and ensures that no harmful gases are released. Cylinder shape maximizes airflow.

Pluses:
These air cleaners are designed specifically to deal with tobacco smoke and its dangerous toxins.
Very effective at removing lingering odors.
Protects walls and furnishings from tar damage.
Effective, long lasting carbon and HEPA filters.
Minuses:
Turbo speed is noisy and best suited for quick air cleaning before and after people are present in the room. Low and high speed are ideal for use when people are in the room.
The design is simple and not overly attractive.
Summary:
A perfect air cleaner for someone who needs to remove primary and/or secondary smoke from their surroundings. Great for both residential or commercial use. Fan speeds low and high are ideal for when people are present in the room. Turbo speed is best used to quickly clean the air in the room before and after people are present.
