Description of 3M 8233 N100 Particulate Respirator Masks
The 3M 8322 filtering face respirator mask is a N100 class particulate respirator with 3M Cool Flow exhalation valve. N100 is NIOSH's highest rated filtration efficiency in a maintenance free respirator. It provides a minimum of 99.97% filtration efficiency against non-oil based solid and liquid particles. This respirator is an excellent choice for general filtration needs as well as lead abatement, pharmaceutical manufacturing, welding and work involving OSHA substance specific regulated particles (excluding asbestos.) Its comfort plus design lets it be worn for extended periods of time in hot and humid conditions. The 8322 features patented filter media, 3M Cool Flow exhalation valve, faceseal and adjustable nose clip to help provide a custom fit and secure seal. Sold individually.

Product Usage:
Read all instructions and limitations prior to use. Follow fitting instructions for proper fit and maximum filtration efficiency.
Use For:
Solids such as those from processing minerals, coal, iron ore, flour, and certain other substances. Liquid or non-oil based particles from sprays that do not also emit harmful vapors. Metal fumes produced from welding, brazing, cutting and other operations involving heating of metals. Radioactive particulate materials such as uranium and plutonium.
Do Not Use For:
Gases and vapors, including those present in paint spraying operations, oil aerosols, asbestos or sandblasting. Aerosol concentrations that exceed 10 times the PEL/OE specific OSHA standards, or applicable government regulations, whichever is lower. This respirator does not supply oxygen.
Biological Particles:
This respirator can help reduce inhalation exposure to certain airborne biological particles (e.g mold, Bacillus anthracis, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, etc.) but cannot eliminate the risk of contracting infection, illness or disease. OSHA and other government agencies have not established safe exposure limits for these contaminants.
Please Note: It is important to note that no respirator will eliminate the inhalation of all particles nor will it eliminate the risk of disease, illness, or death. The 8233 N100 respirator does not filter gases, vapors or odors.
